Miniature Forest Completed – 16 Conifer Trees Ready!
Sixteen handmade trees — each shaped, textured, and finished one by one — now stand ready to bring some life (and tactical cover!) to my gaming table.
Recording the final video was more challenging than I expected. Again, this was something new for me, so there was a lot of experimenting. I must have made over forty different takes — something was always off: shaky hands, uneven focus, wrong light… or all of them at once π Besides, when you do something for the first time, you want to try all the possibilities, all the angles, just to see what looks best.
I was honestly a bit unsure at the beginning of this project — it was my first time making conifer trees (and so many at once!) — but the result met my expectations. I think the mix of materials and colors really paid off, giving each tree a slightly unique look.
My High Elves seem pleased too — they’ve been waiting for this kind of forest shelter since the early 2000s. And now, the doors open for some proper thematic battles — not only for my Elves, but also for all kinds of scenarios featuring Faramir’s Rangers, like Ambush in Ithilien, or narrative adventures following Frodo’s secret journey with the One Ring — especially the early part of his travels, still in the green lands of the Shire and the regions surrounding it.

Next up: time to switch gears and work on something new — but these trees will definitely stay among my favourite builds so far.
